Hereby Bhutan-Estonia Friendship Association is declaring open the competition for grants to musicians during July – September 2010. The successful candidates should be professional musicians. They should perform works of Estonian, Western or Oriental classical music at least on three public concerts in Estonia. Preference is given to open-air classical concerts and summer festivals. The aim of the performance is to facilitate understanding the similarities and differences between the musical cultures of the East and the West as well as to promote the bigger event of Bhutanese ethnic music during Orient Festival 2011. Applications should be sent electronically or in writing to Tiina Jokinen (tiina.jokinen@erpmusic.com) by July 2nd, 2010. The desicion will be announced July 5th, 2010 after it has been evaluated by the Board of the Association.
