Tiina Jokinen – executive director of ERP, member of the board of the Estonian Institute of Buddhism
1984 graduated from the University of Tartu, majoring in the English language and literature; postgraduate courses: Moscow Academy of Foreign Trade, 1987.
Professional career: 1984−1988 Estonian Ministry of Agriculture, specialist of foreign trade; 1988–1989 Estonian Academy of Sciences, research fellow in psycholinguistics; 1989−1996 SAS Tallinn, Riga, Saint Petersburg, New Delhi; 1997−2000 Carslon Wagonlit Travel Agency K, chairman of the board; since 2001 the executive director of Estonian Record Productions (ERP); since 2002 managing director of the festivals Orient and Glasperlenspiel.
Being a travel professional and having extensively visited many regions and countries over the world, has written a number of articles about respective travel and culture, held lectures and arranged expeditions (including Silk Road Tour 2007, Arctica-Antarctica 2010, African Round, Siberia-Mongolia, Oceania), and also pilgrimages to the countries of Asia. Co-author of the book Search For The Soul Of Asia, 2000.
Lectures on African pre-colonial history at Tallinn University of Technology (2017-2018).
Knowledge of languages: fluent in Estonian, English, Swedish and Russian; speaks also more or less Danish, Norwegian, Finnish, German, French, Arabic and Tibetan; has also studied Farsi.
